The Veterinary Public Health Department provides appropriate opportunities to prepare distinguished veterinarians with high scientific and practical skills through the ability to compete in the labor market in addition to developing research plans to develop livestock and solve their problems and ensure the safety of food of animal origin in addition to preserving human health and environmental safety through Preparing cadres to monitor quarries at border crossings, monitor emergency, emerging and transmissible diseases, and provide health and food security in order to preserve his health and protect him from common diseases transmitted to him from animals.
The department plays a prominent role in serving the community through the various knowledge and skills that the student and trainee acquire to combat and prevent common diseases, as well as through local, regional and international scientific research. The department participates in solving many environmental and health problems related to animal and human health.
