Pharmaceutics is the science of dosage form design.

It deals with the incorporation of the drug into a pharmaceutical dosage form which can be administered by patients in a safe, effective, and convenient manner.

The department courses provide the students with the necessary skills and the up-to-date technologies in the formulation, evaluation, and industrialization of pharmaceutical dosage forms, including the advanced drug delivery systems. It also covers the quality control tests used in determining the conformity of these different dosage forms to the pharmacopoeia specifications.
