As part of its commitment to community engagement and its dedication to supporting development and public service initiatives, the Egyptian Chinese University, in collaboration with Fayoum University and several relevant partners, participated in organizing a comprehensive development convoy in Dasya Village, Fayoum Governorate, on Wednesday, April 22, 2026.
The initiative was held under the patronage of Major General Dr. Mohamed Hany Ghoneim, Governor of Fayoum; Prof. Yasser Magdy Hattata, President of Fayoum University; Prof. Rasha El-Khouly, President of the Egyptian Chinese University; and under the supervision of Prof. Assem El-Essawy, Vice President for Community Service and Environmental Development at the Egyptian Chinese University.
The convoy featured active participation from the Faculties of Physical Therapy, Nursing, and Veterinary Medicine at the Egyptian Chinese University. The Faculty of Physical Therapy provided specialized rehabilitation services to 78 patients, utilizing advanced therapeutic techniques, including acupuncture, in addition to implementing treatment programs based on Range of Motion (ROM) exercises to improve joint mobility, enhance functional movement, and reduce complications associated with physical inactivity. Health education and counseling were also provided, reflecting the University’s commitment to integrating academic knowledge with practical community service while preparing graduates capable of serving society effectively.
As part of the veterinary convoy, free veterinary healthcare services were delivered to 2,615 livestock cases. These services included 843 deworming cases, 761 internal medicine treatments, 248 reproductive health treatments, and 763 vaccinations, with the aim of improving animal health, protecting livestock resources, and enhancing productivity. Livestock owners also received guidance on disease prevention and sustainable animal healthcare practices.
The Egyptian Chinese University reaffirmed its commitment to continuing its active participation in such development convoys as part of its mission to serve the community and promote environmental development. Through these initiatives, the University seeks to support underserved communities and contribute to improving the quality of life in local communities.
At the conclusion of the event, the residents of Dasya Village expressed their appreciation for the efforts of the Egyptian Chinese University and its partners, emphasizing the importance of sustaining such initiatives in enhancing healthcare services and preserving livestock resources across the governorate.
