New cooperation between the ECU and corresponding Chinese universities

Today, an agreement was signed between the Egyptian Chinese   University and HUST) Huazhong University of Science and Technology   in China), related to the Faculty of Engineering, Department of Renewable Energy, where both parties expressed their happiness with the permanent educational cooperation between the Egyptian Chinese University and the corresponding universities in China.                                                                    This was by Dr. Karima Abdel Karim’s invitation, the Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Egyptian Chinese University, and Professor Dr. Mohamed Talaat Mostafa, Dean of the Faculty of Engineering and Technology at the Egyptian Chinese University, to the research team from HUST university, which classified in the first category in the field of engineering and energy at the Chinese and the global level. This invitation in order to discuss ways of cooperation between the two universities in terms of research cooperation and student exchange. The meeting was attended by a group of professors, teaching assistants, and engineering college’s students.

During this meeting, an agreement was signed to exchange undergraduate students between the two parties during field training periods (summer training) as a first step to start a group of future agreements, including:

1-Accreditation of bachelor’s degrees for students of the Faculty of Engineering and Technology at the Egyptian Chinese University from HUST University in China.2-Exchanging experiences among faculty members so some Chinese faculty members in the field of engineering are accommodated to teach at the Egyptian Chinese University.3-Establishing a center representing HUST University at the Egyptian-Chinese University through which cooperation between the ECU and HUST universities takes place.4- scholarships offered by HUST University will be given for master’s and doctoral students from the Egyptian Chinese University.5-Adopting a research cooperation between the faculty members of the two universities at the international level.6- Signing an agreement to adopt a dual degree between the two universities for students of the Faculty of Engineering and Technology at the Egyptian Chinese University.
