1. Program Mission

Mechatronics Engineering Program in Faculty of Engineering and technology at Egyptian Chinese University comply with international standards and prepares graduates with specialized expertise in mechatronics engineering, empowering them to excel in both the Egyptian and global labor markets through their acquired knowledge, skills, and professionalism, and respect occupational ethics.
Thus, the program mission could be defined as:
PM1: Equip students with comprehensive knowledge and understanding of mathematics and engineering sciences related to mechanical, electrical, and electronic engineering.
PM2: Provide students with a deep understanding of the scientific principles governing mechatronic systems and their control units.
PM3: Cultivate analytical and practical skills necessary for designing integrated mechatronic systems that meet specified functional and design requirements.
PM4: Develop the ability to measure system states, enabling students to assess system performance and determine appropriate corrective control actions.
PM5: Foster graduates who can manage their own learning and pursue continuous professional development throughout their careers.

2. Program Aims

The main objectives of the “Mechatronics Engineering” program are to study and research in mechatronic engineering multi-disciplines with the proper scientific knowledge and develop student skills to:
PA 1: Create ability in Graduates to Design, Develop Product and applications in the field of Automation and Mechatronics and be able to use Engineering Tools that will Enhance their Productivity.
PA 2: Inculcate Knowledge of Basic Engineering Sciences and Fundamentals of Mechanical, Electrical and Computer Systems.
PA 3: Prepare Graduates to be Effective Engineers with Good Analytical and Problem Solving Skill to Innovate, Research and Develop in a Multidisciplinary Environment.
PA 4: Aid Graduates to Acquire Professional Ethics and Oral, Written and Graphical Communication Skills.
PA 5: Create Awareness of Societal and the Environmental Implications and make them Suitable for Engineering Career in Industrial Environs as well as for Pursuing higher Studies.

3. Graduate Attributes

Graduates of the Mechatronics Engineering Program at Egyptian Chinese University can work professionally in automated/flexible manufacturing systems, automotive industry, robotics and autonomous systems and electronic engineering industries with the following skills:
GA 1- Identify, formulate and solve fundamental engineering problems.
GA 2- Use the techniques, skills, and appropriate engineering tools, necessary for engineering practice and project management.
GA 3- Work effectively within multi-disciplinary teams.
GA 4- Design of all mechanical, hydraulic and electrical systems
GA 5- Design of all control circuits of the electro-mechanical and hydraulic systems.
