
The Egyptian Chinese University Research & Innovation and entrepreneurship Center
The establishment of the Research Center was officially approved by the Supreme Council of Private Universities in its 68th meeting on August 15, 2018, reinforcing the university’s commitment to becoming a leading hub for scientific research and technological advancement.
Vision: The Research Center at the Egyptian Chinese University is dedicated to advancing scientific research through strategic partnerships with both local and international universities. With a strong commitment to serving the community, the center supports research initiatives that address real-world challenges, bridging the gap between academia and industry.


Projects
Mara-Mediterra: Safeguarding the livelihood of rural communities and the environment in the Mediterranean through Nature-based Solutions
Aim: Mara-Mediterra is aimed at addressing the hitherto low uptake of Nature-based Solutions (NbSs) to combat water and land degradation in agro-ecosystems around the Mediterranean.
Mara-Mediterra is funded through the PRIMA partnership for research and innovation in the Mediterranean area which is supported by Horizon 2020, the European Union’s Framework Programme for Research and Innovation.

Technology Innovation Commercialization Office (TICO) with The Academy of Scientific Research & Technology (ASRT)
- TICO Office is an initiative of the Academy of Scientific Research and Technology that aims to support innovation, technology transfer and commercialization in Egyptian universities and research centers. 26 offices were established as a first phase, with the Academy providing financial support for two years to activate the tasks of these offices, in addition to supporting training and communication with industry and society. TICO offices seek to transform research results and innovations into practical applications that contribute to technological development and solve industrial problems.

- Capacity Building Program for South-South Cooperation – between Food and Agriculture Organization of the united nation (FOA) and The Egyptian Chinese University
Training modules to promote sustainable agricultural development, while promoting and enhancing mechanisms of South-South Cooperation amongst NENA nations.
- Office of Technology Commercialization (OTC)
Is an organizational unit within research institutions, universities, government labs, or
governmental corporations. Its primary role is to manage the process of translating research
and innovation into marketable products, services, or technologies that benefit society and
generate revenue. The OTC serves as the bridge between inventors, industry, and investors
to bring groundbreaking ideas to market.
